Alan,

There are actually 15 people so far that have purchased the bracket kits for the Mk VII rear disc conversion.

If you include the first proto-type set I used to develope the disc conversion from that's on the blue '65 Mustang shown on my site, and also the set that was installed on my partner/co-developer's (Glen Buzek) '65 Mustang, then there are 17 sets in use currently.

Besides the initial proto-type bracket sets, we had 20 sets of brackets made to sell. Of that 20, we are down to the last 5 remaining sets of the original batch.

Getting close to time to order a new batch from the machine shop again. :-)

This conversion was also recently mentioned in the Hemmings Mustang Market & Tech Guides magazine.

This conversion looks pretty simple.
I wonder why people use the MK VII rotor with a Eldorado caliper?
This is the kit (with eldo caliper)that Master Power sells, and the simple flat bracket can be bought from Steeltech Solutions.
The MK caliper looks very similiar to the eldo version BTW

There is also a guy that sells the brackets on E-bay for the Eldo caliper/Mk VII rotor (may be same as the Master Power setup --not sure). I think the two brackets & (6) bolts/nuts from the E-bay offering is ~$85 dollars. Shipping is another $9 dollars.

The big difference between the kit I have and the E-bay one is that you aren't required to buy a set of specialty parking brake cables to work with the parking brake lever on the back of the caliper. The Mk VII conversion was designed to use the existing drum brake cables already on your car, so you have no extra expenses there.

To have this feature with the E-bay setup, you'll have to fork over another $90 dollars.

Another big difference is the Mk VII conversion has provisions of utilizing the Mk VII's stock splash shields to protect the rotors and brake hardware and it just has a more professional look to it when the splash shield is installed. The E-bay rear disc swap has no splash shields or provisions for using any.

The Mk VII disc conversion bracket kit I have is $90. For that you get: (6) brackets (3 per side), all the necessary SAE grade-8 bolts, nuts, washers, 10.9 rating metric bolts, washers, spacers, installation instructions, and this price also includes the cost of shipping within the Continental U.S.
