First thing we need to know is what year your car is. I cannot remember what everone owns just by name.

Donnie,

I saw in another post that you have a 66 GT, so the bulb for the courtesy light (ins. Panel) is a 631 (6 cadlepower bulb).

Did a search and this is the closest I could come up with...
While spending the last 8 hours in/around my '65(standard interior) I decided it was time to find a replacement bulb for the interior lights under the dash that come on when a door is opened. The part number on the bulb is "GG 531". Anyone know where I can find them besides ordering through a Mustang supplier? thanks, Dan

I found the #631 bulb for my '68 at Pep Boys. They did not have many, but found 3 there.

I think the GG 531 may be a manufacturers part number...631 is the correct bulb, and yeah they are still widely available. Most all Auto stores have them, as well as places like Wal-Mart. Donnie, if the bulb blew out it could be possible that you had a 6 volt bulb, bulb #63 is the same looking bulb, but in 6 volt. I accidently used one in one of my trucks, and it blew out as soon as it got power.
