The easiest way is to buy the powder coat setup from Eastwood - www.eastwoodco.com , then buy an old electric oven and your in business. I have one and they work great, really easy to use.
BY the way, I gotta ask, why the name Trailer_Trash? I'm a controller at a MFG home plant, a big one. do you work at a mfg home plant or ??? Ernie

the name Trailer Trash is just the name that stuck with my car, because after i removed the front suspension for painting, there was no way to roll the car to the body shop.
well, I should get a freakin award for this. i am a damn geniuses for thinking this crazy scheme up (i'm very modest, too) . I made a front axle for my stang to transport it to the body shop.
heres what I did: dug up my old crappy trailer, and took the axle out of it. then, I took the leaf springs off. I found a 6X4 piece of wood at Home Depot for 31 cents lol. then I found a 2X4 in our basement. then, I also found a round flat metal plate with a metal rod that screws into the center.

enough of the materials. first, I drilled a bunch of holes in the pieces of wood to mount the the round metal plate, metal rod that screws into it, and the U-bolts off the trailer. I moutned the 2X4 to the trailer axle by using the U-bolts off the trailer. then, I mounted the round plate to the 2X4. I went to ACE Hardware and picked up some really long bolts, and then mounted the 6X4 to the frame of the car. I slid the rod through the 6X4, greased the whole deal up, and I had created an entire front end for under $2.00!!!!!

now, if the body shop guys have a half a brain, they will jack the car up, slide the axle out, un-bolt the 6X4 from the frame, and do their business. probably a 5 minute job that wont cost me a penny, and save me the risk of getting a really bad paint job.

thanks for the site. i'll check it out. i work at high school to get good grades

i gotta ask too, whats ^ with your name? i cant even pronounce it lol.

i was just thinking. is it really necessary to spend about $150 on powder coating products to just paint the springs?
