If I am running a fuel cell.. am I better off to use an electric fuel pump (on the street) than a mechanical? If I do use an electronic pump am I better off putting it closer to the fuel cell or closer to the motor or does it matter?

Fuel cell = electric pump. Always near the fuel supply, never near the engine.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." Mounted low so it doesn't suck air instead of fuel.

I like mechanical pumps for the street. They are more reliable. If HUGE volumes aren't needed, and you aren't worried about that 1hp that is required to run the pump, they are the only way to go. They are also safer. They don't continue to run and spray fuel in case of a crash, like an electric pump can.I can't see what the problem would be with running one with a fuel cell. They will draw fuel from any source... even a pickle jar.
