On the top line, the 2 of the 289 is missing. The C indicates Cleveland engine plant, {they made small blocks too}, 66 is the model year, 12 is the change level. On the second line, the *-C is the production date, {March sometime} and 235-T is the engine code number. ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 - '72 Mustang Sprint - '94 F-150 Please remember our sponsors, Mustangs Plus, NPD, Osborn Reproductions, MyFordPerformance.com, and FordRamAir.com

Those are minor changes made during production runs. {Like changing from a 180 degree thermostat to a 192, for example. Most of them are things most of us wouldn't care about.} ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 - '72 Mustang Sprint - '94 F-150 Please remember our sponsors, Mustangs Plus, NPD, Osborn Reproductions, MyFordPerformance.com, and FordRamAir.com
