The latch-handles on my 73 hardtop are different than the ones on my 73 convertible.
Hardtops are square, black plastic buckles (looks like 'bakelite')with a square button, aluminum trim that has a generic crossed-leaf looking emblem.
My 73 convertible has round buttons with the concentric circles on the button cover, the same as my 71.
Does anybody know the significance of this? Trim levels? Different factorys? Running change-over?

Don't know, my 72 Mach came with the standard interior, and it has the round inserts, and buttons. Anybody got the plastic stiffners that make the inner belts stand up next to the console, instead of always being under the seat when you need them?

My 73 convertible and 73 Mach have the longer buckle ends with the plastic sheaths around the straps.
My 71 Mach,72 FB and 72 conv and 73 hardtop all have the shorter-strapped buckle assembly without the plastic sheath.

Mine don't have the sheath, and I'm gonna find some on E-bay someday at a decent price. I get tired of digging around underneath the seat trying to find the buckle end.
