This might sound stupid, but i need to know If I drive the car with the vacuum tube disconnected, what happens? Thanks.

The Vacuum modulator supplies the tranny with the info about the load your car is under. With the modulator disconnected, it will assume, with 0 vacuum present, that you have the pedal to the metal, and will shift on the governor. This could be anywhere from 4500 rpms to 6000 rpms, depending on the governor settings.
