I have put a power steering valve on the car from Stainless Steel Brake. The problem that I am having is that you have to center the valve with the power steering pump. YES its became a pain in the arse. Has anyone done one of these before and know a secret to getting the damn thing centered?? We adjusted the thing for over an hour yesterday and still have the tire shudder when you turn the steering wheel. Was hoping someone had a secret that they would share. To adjust it you have to raise the car take a cap of the end of the valve do a quarter turn on a nut put the cap back on put the car back down and turn the wheel to check it out.

'Stainless Steel Brake'... are they an aftermarket manufacturer, or do they just overhaul/rebuild Bendix control valves? I just put a seal kit in my Papa's '63 1/2 Galaxie, identical valve to mid-sixties Mustangs (among many others I'm sure). $16 for the kit, took about an hour, good as new ------------------ 1965 GT coupe, 333ci aluminum headed/solid cammed stroker, four speed, 3.70:1 9" All Blue Oval, no blue bottle http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/V8Thumper.html

Did that a while ago and I don't quite remember how many quater turns it took me but not too many. It shouldn't be that hard. You need to bleed the air out of the system by turning the wheel from side to side several times, this may be your problemI'll check tonight in the ford book and will tell you. I do remember posts about really bad rebuilt unit from various companies though, it may be the case here
