I don't have much left to do on my 65.

I just have to order my engine, and install it with the 5 speed. Then I have to put the trim, handles, etc on her and then paint up the dash and install the Custom Auto Sound stereo so she looks stock.

It will look like a stock red coupe with vintage 45's covering disc brakes and a High Performance 289 emblem. All stock body, no scoops or rollcage or anythng.

I kinda want to put a GT emblem and stripe on it. Not sure if GTs came with standard interior and the rectangle speedo guage. I might put a rally pac on the steering column, or get the shelby dash pod.

I can't wait to drive this thing.

65 Viper Red Coupe
Standard Black Interior
302 stroker / 5 speed
Currie 9 inch 3.89 posi
SSBC 4 wheel discs
Mustangs Plus Road Race suspension
Flaming River steering box
16 x 8 vintage 45's

Sounds like it's all coming together
'65 GT's had the round 140 mph speedo, all 66's had the round speedo

I don't know how you measure your time, but it sounds like you still a some work ahead of you. As far as the GT emblems, unless you go the whole GT route don't do it.

Unless you really want a Rallye pac, I would not waste the money. Spend it on a new instrument cluster with Autometer gages.

On my wifes 66 convert, she didn't want the Mustang wording on the fenders, she wanted 68-69 Mustang script.

Its your car, dare to be different.
