How do you get theses suckers on? I tried to push the pin through the hole in the knob but they wont go in, I think I've bruised my thumb!

You need to press them on in a vise, using lots of padding to protect from marring. {like wood on the vise jaws and a thick rag over the knob and handle.

It's smart to warm the plastic in warm water first.

That's what I figured. Are the handle held on with a clip or with a screw behind the center cover? I believe it's a screw but don't want to mess up the handles before I find out for sure.
