I've seen a lot of pix of his stuff, and it looks pretty good. However, I think the ram-air scoops are made without the 'flapper' doors or the vacuum motors, so they would obviously look incorrect. Some dummy motors could easily be attached to give it the correct look though.

Steve, just out of curiosity, what is it that you like about the full-time flappers(as opposed to the functional ones). When they are full-time, an unbelievably huge amount of dirt and debris is collected in the air-can. this happens even if you only drive in nice weather on clean, dry paved roads. The vacuum cans on mine were non-functional for a few years, and I was amazed at the difference. Actually, the drastic increase in dirt was what tipped me off to the fact that they were bad.

Well, for years I drove mine with the scoops open and I never really picked anything up. Of course I never drove it in any kind of bad weather. I like having it fully open all the time. I have a Ram Air hood on my truck which is wide open, and I never pick anything up there, either. Do you do alot of off-roading? ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 - '72 Mustang Sprint - '94 F-150 Please remember our sponsors, Mustangs Plus, NPD, Osborn Reproductions, MyFordPerformance.com, and FordRamAir.com

I have the flapper and the vacuum actuator taken out of mine at the moment. The actuator went bad and the flap was stuck closed. Counter-productive if you ask me. I haven't really been in a hurry to find a working actuator and havent had any problems with mine. As a matter of fact I am using K&N air filter element with their element top piece as well. NPD has the vacumn cans in their catalog. Seems like they are $40 or so each.
