Does anybody have a schematic for the 68 fog light wire harness? I must have something crossed! When I go to turn the fog lights on the dome light comes on instead. Looking for a printed copy or even a hand drawn one!

I thought we ran into this before. I seem to recall the fog lamps aren't in a standard wiring diagram in '68.

Try 10-5, 2000. By 68 S-code GT. For some reason, have page i of a 9 page download. Can't find the others and the first page asks where the switch is mounted and it's to the right of the column. A back isue of MMonthly has it also.

Yup!!!

I figured that I would give it another try since something isn?t working right in the coupe. Who ever worked on this car before me liked to cut and tape wire. My searches only go back to Jan. of 2001 is there a way to search further back?

Mellow,
Do you happen to know what back issue had it?

Anybody remember seeing that issue of Mustang Monthly? Does anybody at least what year the issue might have been in?

I stopped getting the magazine in 96 because I got tired of reading the same things. I mean, how many rust repair articles can you read over 12 years. Plus I kind of like the older cars better. If the issue came out after 1996 then I most likely don?t have it. Doe?s anybody remember if it delt with the factory setup or if it was just on how to add a reproduction setup to your car.

I got this from a guy named John in Connecticut

Underhood:
The fog light feed starts on the passenger side with a blue 2-plug which exits next to all the other light plugs below the radiator. 1 side has a grey wire (+) and the other side is black (-). The black wire junctions into a ground "joint" about 6 inches into the harness. The grey wire continues over to the driver side blue 2-plug. The grey wire enters 1 side of the plug together with another grey wire that continues to the end of the harness under the dash. There it ends in a single bullet connector. The other side of this plug has a black wire that connects to another black wire with aring terminal attached to the voltage reg screw.

Underdash:
A blue with black stripe jumper about 6" long plugs into the yellow accessory 3-plug near the fuse block and a ring terminal on the other end attaches to a foglight circuit breaker bolted to the left of the fuse box. Another blue with black wire travels from the other circuit breaker screw through the harness to the middle of a 3-plug which exits near the ignition switch. 2 other wires exit the 3-plug. A black wire that proceeds along the harness to near the headlight switch where a single black bullet plugs into an existing female bullet connector on the underdash harness (feed to headlight switch for taillights?). The 3rd wire (the only male part of the plug) is a grey wire that travels to and connects with the underhood grey wire.

He had to open up his harnesses in order to do some repairs and made up some diagrams.
