My old coil is marked BAT and DIST. My new one is marked - and +. Should the lead from the wiring harnes connect to the + (BAT) terminal and the distributor lead the the - (DIST) terminal? What would be the results of them being connected to the wrong terminal? The reason I'm asking is because the connections on my old coil appeared to be wrong. The wire leading to the distributor was connected to the BAT terminal and the wiring harnes was connected to the DIST terminal. This may be why it felt like it had a skip in it.
