.....Looks pretty good, and the owner seems to be pretty forth-coming with the description, wish I was closer to Detroit, this is one car I would bid on. Don,t think I would go higher than $12,000.00 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6236&item=1875494662

One thing you have to watch out for is that you can't verify a Mustang is a Mach 1 by the VIN in '69, you have to look for the 63C on the body tag. In '70, you can't miss the 05 in the VIN.------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 - '72 Mustang Sprint - '94 F-150 Be sure to remember our sponsors, Mustangs Plus, NPD, and Osborn Reproductions.

I know you never get your money back from a project as I have about that much invested in my old 65 coupe. But, I know exactly what I have. On the surface, it appears the price is about right, but I would hesitate to buy any car I couldn't see in person and drive it first. As has been pointed out, is it really a Mach 1?------------------ http://www.classic-mustang.net/ReadersRides/glenwren3.jpg

I think the winner of this car got him a nice "S" code fastback, not a MACH1. As Steve said you cannot tell a 69 by the VIN, but there are a few items to look that is different on a MACH1 than a standard fastback. The MACH1 does not have the Mustang script on the fron fenders and they came with hood pins. Looking at the pictures of this car I did not see any signs of hood pins ever being on it and it has the Mustang script. I also noticed that there is not "C" pillar emblem on this car or rocker moldings. Maybe the previous owner removed these when painting. The only thing I do see on this car that indicates a MACH1 is the interior, which can be swapped pretty easy, and the data plate that is not installed.Just looked at the pics again and it looks like the hood scoop has been molded onto the hood, also there is a hole cut in the hood under the scoop, definantly not original! ------------------ Ronnie 69 mach1 351W-4V engineless at the time! 70 Torino GT 351C-4v with a "shaker" Mustangs and More Member #23 [This message has been edited by RonnieT (edited 12-29-2002).]

I have run into so many ppl who automaticlly think that every '69-70 Mustang SportsRoof is a Mach I. A majority of the time ppl will ask me what kind of enigne I have in my Mach I ...I tell them it isn't a Mach I, just a deluxe SportsRoof. Best thing for anybody selling a '69 Mach I to do is to get a Marti report for the car so he can show it to the buyer as proof that the car is a real Mach and not a clone.------------------ Gary M.- 1970 Mustang Deluxe SportsRoof (daily driver), 1946 Ford pickup, 1947 Ford pickup, 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Town Vic
