Noticed that when I put it in park, the car may drift back about 3 or 4 FEET. Then today it was drifting back and you could hear a cog in the trans trying to engage. Had to put it in drive and then back into park. This all occured in a fairly level garage. Does this sound like major work? Any hints? Thanks.

Welcome to M&M Your parking paw is worn out. A fairly common occurance in early C-4's. You can try adjusting the shift linkage to get some play out, but the paw mechanism needs to be replaced to cure it completly.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00, '01, & '02 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked."
