Does anybody have any 'tricks' for replacing a HVAC blower-motor on 71-73's? The manual says to disconnect the air-conditioning and to take apart about half the dash. Hopefully, someone will have a short-cut or two! Thanks!

I just did the same thing on my 69 w/o AC and I had to take the dash apart. Good luck.

I'm not concerned so much about taking the dash apart as I am about opening up the air conditioning system. Is it mandatory that the air be opened up,or is there a shortcut that someone knows of?

I hate to break it to you but the HVAC box has to come out to get in it. the only way to do that is to seperate the ac lines. the expansion valve will not come through the fire wall.
