If indeed it has been inside for the past 20 years, I have to wonder about it`s whereabouts the first 11 years! That is more than "the typical Mustang rust areas" mentioned. Also, no mention is made as to the condition or originality of the running gear. It`s sad it`s it such rough shape, definatly more work than I`d be interested in.

agreed. it's from the snow belt. Mrs. Mule's 71 grande looked the same way when she had to let it go. rusted from the inside out.

SCARY,
Sandblasted (probably took away even more metal) and undercoated (a mess to dig through just to see how bad the rust damage really is). It would have to be a true leap of faith to tackle this one, especially at that price. Still, if the drivetrain is original and all of the hard to find stuff is there, and someone REALLY KNOWS what they're doing and what to expect.................. Really a shame that there is so much rust, probably in all of the sheet metal seams too!

'Stored indoors' ranges widely in quality. A couple of years ago I went to see a 34,000 mile '70 R code Mach that was totally ruined because it was stored for 25 years in a barn with a dirt floor. All metal below belt level was rusted to ruin. That was a heartbreak, because the car was spec'ed out EXACTLY like I wanted and I would have bought it in a second if it had half a chance.
