Hi gals and guys! It has been some time since I visited or posted here. Was busy with some school work for about 6 months. This old man won't do that any more. I picked up an FE Induction system. The intake is a C7ZX-9425-A dual quad. The Carbs are Holley List 2804 and 2805, BJ BK carbs and I believe the next numbers are the dates 6B1 and 6B2. Can anyone help me verify this is the setup for a 1967 Shelby GT500. I am not too good with the ole FE stuff. I believe the breather is not correct as it is the older style with the 427 Eagle badge near the front. Any information on this setup will be greatly appreciated. My book says the C7ZX-A is the 427 Hi Riser intake for the '67 GT 500. The X denotes it as from the Original Muscle Parts program. The carbs are the right ones, the C3AF-9510-BJ is the primary, the C3AF-9510-BK is the secondary. They are 600 cfm. I think the dates are 6B1 = first week of Feb. '66, and 6B2 the second week. ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 - '72 Mustang Sprint - '94 F-150 Be sure to remember our sponsors, Mustangs Plus, NPD, and Osborn Reproductions.

Steve, Thanks for the quick response. Does your answer mean the intake needs to be used with a high rise 427 head? You mentioned the x- being part of the muscle parts program ... can you explain that a bit more for me? Yes, that's an intake for the High Riser heads. The Muscle Parts Program was the sixties version of the FRPP division. This part was sold over the counter instead of being factory installed, I believe. ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 - '72 Mustang Sprint - '94 F-150 Be sure to remember our sponsors, Mustangs Plus, NPD, and Osborn Reproductions.

Correction guys, that intake is for medium riser heads not high riser. It's a clone of the 64 up 427 medium riser dual quad intake used on the "R" models. That's the same intake that I had for sale about a year ago. It is indeed the 67 GT-500 induction set up, but they used a 428 PI engine that had similar ports to a medium riser 427 and a 428 CJ. High risers had a specific intake which is almost 1/4 inch taller than the C7ZX that was not produced after 1965 and as such had C5 engineering numbers in their last incarnation. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00, '01, & '02 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." I thought the 427 was a Hi Riser? ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 - '72 Mustang Sprint - '94 F-150 Be sure to remember our sponsors, Mustangs Plus, NPD, and Osborn Reproductions.
