me and my dad have been in the process of rebuilding my 66 mustang coupe..we have the stock 289 engine in it but seem to have forgotten how exactly the alternator mounts on..well we have the mount on..but the adjusting arm does not fit anywhere..it makes no sense its either too short or in the way..does anyone have a picture of one or know where it goes and could help me out?

Welcome to M&M! Click on my photo page link below... there's a pic of my '289' while still on the motor stand. The alternator is fastened by stock 289 brackets and hardware ------------------ 1965 GT coupe, 333ci aluminum headed/solid cammed stroker, four speed, 3.70:1 9" All Blue Oval, no blue bottle http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/V8Thumper.html

Note: the pic was a mock-up, the bushing/spacer is not in place, but would shim the alternator's top mounting hole to the cylinder head ------------------ 1965 GT coupe, 333ci aluminum headed/solid cammed stroker, four speed, 3.70:1 9" All Blue Oval, no blue bottle http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/V8Thumper.html
