I have two old, but unused, sets of front coils. Is there some do-it-yourself method to tell the spring rates? Thanks! Simon

Problem solved! I go to my local auto repair shop where they have a spring rate checker BTW, here's a great background resource on coil springs and how they work ... http://www.stockcarproducts.com/spgtech.htm

Ask Scoop! He has a tried and true method of checking spring rates-part of being a good mattress salesperson!

Scoop is a big fella. Are you suggesting he just sits on them??? I'm hoping I've got a pair of 620 lb/inch springs
