This came with The Junkyard Dog. Is this a dealer added option? Is this even a ford AC? (no I havent gotten it off the car yet....bolts are ON THERE GOOD). Thanks in advance Parts ID Guru's!! It is under the Folder Cars and Parts http://briefcase.yahoo.com/macs55F100

To the best of my recollection it looks like factory FoMoCo dealer installed hang on. The ARA units of the day were much thinner and the Sears/Monkey Wards units were black or gray plastic. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00, '01, & '02 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." Thanks Alex! I think I'm gonna yank it out and replace it with a floor console> It seems like it is the only part left on the AC anyway. Since it may be original to the car from the dealer, I'll keep it with the other parts! ------------------ 68 Mustang Fastback GT-J code 55 Ford F100- Panel-Volare IFS, 351C 2 unmentionable brand vehicles ;) Pictures of the GT project! Couldn't see enough of it to tell. The 67/8 hangdown had a small woodgrain panel and two knobs at one end. It had rectangular slots and the housing was black. And they blow colder than the indash vac operated so called factory AC's. Your car is a nice find! Reminds me of a 63 Falcon Sprint cv that was in a Ft. Lauderdale junk yard-complete with torches in the trunk-junkyard commuter car! You never know. I got it--a week after someone glommed the tach!!
