OK, I am ready to drop the motor in my fastback. It's a 351W with a lakewood bell housing. I seem to remember that on horsepower TV, they had to notch the bellhousing in order for the clutch rod to clear. Anybody out there that knows for sure? Thanks. No, you do not have to make any modifications to the bell housing at all. The back of the block is the same on all SBF's. The guys on HPTV butchered up that car. The notched the bell housing for exhuast clearance with the mickey mouse shorty headers. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00, '01, & '02 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." Sorry but I did have to notch my Lakewood bellhousing,it has about 1/2 in.overlap on plate that came with it.I did a nice 1/2 moon cut and I have plenty of room with-out looking like a butch job.I did not cut the block plate.
