OK, if you say so. I don't happen to agree.

I have set the block less the headers it looks very tight I know that i need the swap headers. someone told me that there was a kit that set the engine lower and back a couple inches. is that right.

I would not lower the motor because that will decrease the shock tower clearce. The windson is taller and wider. The motor should clear with standard motor mounts.

Well, when you do a 289 swap you would need to use 66 motor mounts to let it sit better, plus they are stronger. That is from what i read though. Those are probably the same ones you would use for the 351W swap since I have been told they use the same motor mounts. In those motor mounts i mentioned i believe there is a difference. I installed a set of headers in my 66 and went in easily. We went to put the same headers that my friend bought and they were a PAIN to get in. He had a 65 that originally had a I6, i believe the reason for that was that they had the 65 motor mounts and not the 66 ones. Although i was never able to double check it. ------------------ Under Construction 66 Coupe 289 V8 - 600cfm Holley - Tri-Y Headers - Flowmaster 2.5 dual exaust - Centerforce Dual Friction Installing balanced 302, 10.2 compression, 66 heads w/port work, waiting on cam, manifold, & carb
