There were two kinds of Mach 1 side moldings used, the early moldings had removeable 'Mach 1' letters on the front fender molding, the later molding was cast one piece, letters and all.

Does anyone know the changeover date?

Steve, the parts catolog doesn't give you a choice, they only list one number. They probably just replaced it with the late one. My Mach had one of each type on each side. RAY

I think Mustang Monthly said something about the chnge over date in an article they did a couple of years ago when they were redoing the moldings on their project '70 Mach. Unfortunatly, I don't remember what issue it was. Maybe somebody else does.
