There were two kinds of Mach 1 side moldings used, the early moldings had removeable 'Mach 1' letters on the front fender molding, the later molding was cast one piece, letters and all. Early moldings. Later moldings. Does anyone know the changeover date?

Steve, the parts catolog doesn't give you a choice, they only list one number. They probably just replaced it with the late one. My Mach had one of each type on each side. There is a date, I've run across it before but I stupidly didn't write it down. ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 - '72 Mustang Sprint - '94 F-150

I think Mustang Monthly said something about the chnge over date in an article they did a couple of years ago when they were redoing the moldings on their project '70 Mach. Unfortunatly, I don't remember what issue it was. Maybe somebody else does.------------------ Gary M.- 1970 Mustang Deluxe SportsRoof (daily driver), 1946 Ford pickup, 1947 Ford pickup, 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Town Vic
