Started tearing apart the 66 coupe and the bolt that holds the bottom side of the fender on, (between the wheelwell and the front of the door),just keeps turning. The nut up inside there obviously is turning with the bolt. How can I stop this from turning?I can't see any way to get to it.The head of the bolt is up in a recess in the fender so cutting the head off of it would be rather difficult as well.Is there any other way to get to this nut,or any other suggestions?

Your only options seems to drill the head of the bolt out. Then after you get the fender off you can tack a new nut in.

I had this problem on my 70 stang. I pried down on the head of the bolt with a screwdriver and that made the nut catch and it came out. On the other side though, I had to take an angle grinder, and put a half used grinding disc on it to make it small enough to miss the fender and I ground the head off. If you grind the head off protect your paint with something or the sparks will leave marks in the paint. I had my dad hold up a piece of tin when I ground mine off. Just my $.02. Brandon.
