I have a 1965 Mustang convertable. I am preparing to remove the engine and am wondering the best way to attach the chains to the engine. I have a Cherry Picker with a load balancer. It has two chains attached to it. I do not plan on removing the valve covers and plan on keeping the engine complete for removal.

Any suggestions.

Only 2 chains? Mine has four, but 2 will work. I use bolts from the intake. Use the one on the front and one on the back and have the balancer cross the engine.

If your intake was:

1 2 3 4 5
Intake
6 7 8 9 10

Use bolts 1 and 10.
