My car has been running hot so I pulled my 66-289 heads off my 86-302 to re-drill my water jackets or steam holes. On my block the water jackets are at a 1:00 position. On the heads there at a 12:00 position. Now I have heard that I drill a 1/4 in. hole in my heads at the 1:00 position. Is that correct? How far do I drill? It looks like I can drill untill I hit a water passage.Thanks,Tony------------------ http://ourworld.cs.com/blagintony/myhomepage/auto.html 86-302 HO bored .030 over crank .010 under B-303 cam ,harland sharp roller rockers performer rpm intake, 625 carter 66-289 heads, ported with 160-194 valves, 3 angle valve job 4 speed toploader pony seats
