It has the same bolt pattern, 5 x 4.5" so there's no problem there. The only thing to watch out for is that they have 5.72" backspacing which makes them stick out quite a bit. {as you can see on Cruzer's car}------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 - '72 Mustang Sprint - '94 F-150

The backspacing causes the wheel to set in too far. The fronts will hit the upper balljoint. You need 1"-1.25" spacers which run $150-$200 a pair. If CRUZER9's wheels stick out it is because hi spacers are too thick.

I would buy the 1" pair first as this will fit the front. Test the 1" spacer on the rear to see if you want 1.25" or even 1.5" on the rear.

They do stick out some which I don't really like. I have 1" spacers all around. They clear the upper balljoint by 1/2". Son has already cut one front tire. He was running 40mph (he said) & hit a big dip in the road which caused the tire to go up into the fender. When the tire came out it brought the fender lip with it. Ripped the tire all the way around. $150 tire shot to sh!t. Luckly I bought the warranty from Pep Boys which replaced the tire for free! I have since then rolled the front fenders.[This message has been edited by Cruzer (edited 11-04-2002).]

Didn't change the ride. But the steering is a lot more sensitive. I guess the 245x45's really grip the road! 1" is about as narrow as you would want to go. Like I said, the tire only cleared the upper balljoint by 1/2". On the rear you "might" get by with 3/4", but it'll be close. Go ahead & roll your front fender wells! It is a daily driver.

No, got Cragars on the 66. The 68 is really my son's car. He wanted something a bit different.

I found it. Where did you get the hood? What do you think of the quality? You both have very nice cars.------------------ Alton 68 GT FASTBACK J code http://www.imboc.com/phpBB/Uploads/1020432917.jpg 01 GT BULLITT http://www.imboc.com/phpBB/Uploads/1020440453.jpg 96 OJ BRONCO
