I'm confused. Judging from my Osborn's manual and a couple of old bust switches I have, I simply pull out the knob, unscrew a bezel, then remove the switch from the back of the dash. But it doesn't seem right that the knob should just pull out, and anyway I can't pull it out of the one in the car. There a cut-out around the end of the knob shaft that looks like it must catch on something inside the switch. Is there a catch mechanism I need to release for the knob to come out? Thanks as always, Simon

Simon, there is a tiny button on the bottom of the switch assembly that you have to push. That will release the knob and shaft. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00, '01, & '02 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." Sam, you were 5 hours too late but I had no idea you had such specific info on your site. I'm gonna have to bookmark it! And maybe add some pages of my own! I'm already in the category of knowing stuff about '68s that indicate insanity!
