Just like the title says, will the T-45 5 speeds fit in a 68 mustang with the same conversion kits they sell for T-5's? I'd like to keep my current bell/clutch, and use the adapter bracket that's available.

If it doesn't work, what's the holdup? Boltpatterns, length, girth, etc?

The T-45 swap would be MUCH more involved as the bell housing is part of the tranny. A lot of custom fab work would be required.
