My '69 mustang has a large coil spring under the dash installed more or less vertically that helps the clutch pedal return to the top.
This spring has insulators on each end. Where can I get a new set of these insulators?

Does anyone have a '69 service manual that can tell me what this spring insulator's part number is? Is this spring called the "Over center" spring?

Thanks, Jim Sams

This is not an answer to your question but I found it easier to just replace the whole spring. I called a few boneyards and found a good replacement spring.
Tip: I use 4 SS hose clamps to slowy compress the spring down then use safety wire to keep it compressed while removing the clamps. I then offer the spring back in place then snip the safety wire VERY CAREFULLY one by one until spring is seated. Piece of cake method. Even easier if you remove the drivers seat for easier access while laying on your back working under dash.
My 2 cents
