ok after doing a lot of research i still dont know what I want hopefully you can help. I am debating if i want Aussie 2V or 4V quench heads. I know the 2V's will give me better low end for the street and 4V's better high end. What happens if i build a 377 with 4V's? if im not mistaken i can offset grind the stock crank to make a 377 right? i run my car weekly at the local track and it is a daily(hourly) driver Are 4V's really that bad for the street? thanks

They are not that bad. To make the 2v heads work decently, you will have to spend a fortune getting them ported, and then they still wont make the same amount of power the stock 4v heads would have made. And if you put them on a 377, that will only amplify it. A 377 with 4v heads will work real nicely on the street.

My opinion, the Aussie heads are waaaaaaaaaay over rated.

Yes, but why not use the Scat 3.85 stroke crank and get a 393C?
You will have to use custom pistons anyways.
What rpm level are you considering....

The Scat cranks are around $400 I think.
Probably cost you almost that much to offset gind a stock crank and then narrow rods and bearings to fit.
Most people use Mopar rods for the 377 kits, which need to be narrowed on the big end and bushed on the small end.
Scat makes the crank with SBC 2.100 journals or normal 351 journals. That way you can run standard unmodified bearings.
