The new engine is running, but the secondaries on the 4100 won't open. The carb appears to be working fine otherwise, the secondaries aren't binding. I'm pretty sure it's a vacuum issue, but could use some expert advice on where to look. The vacuum passage on the carb's lid is clear. deadhead

REMOVE THE REAR DIAPHRAM COVER AND INSPECT THE RUBBER DIAPHRAM ITSELF FOR PERFORATIONS. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00, '01, & '02 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." They would open sooner. I rarely ever set up a vaccum secondary Autolite anymore. The progressive mechanical linkage works so much better and is totaly trouble free. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00, '01, & '02 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked."
