I made a post a couple months ago,but I didn't know the vin #. I have now dug up the vin#, and it is: 2F05Q217969 here is a brief description of the car when it was stolen in 1979 in Houston, Tx.
1972 Mach 1, Light Pewter metallic
Black w/grey stripes 'Mach 1' interior
4-speed trans.
center console.
front and rear spoilers
standard 2-piece 'pie-plate'hubcaps.
white-wall tires standard.
NOTE-When stolen, this car had aluminun slotted dish mags, with 'Formula One Super Stock' tires on it.
Ram-Air w/ twist-style hood pins( Not original equipment.I added all the factory parts, including the hood pins and the black hood paint.)
'Hockey-stick' side stripes
Notably, this car is NOT equipped with some common options:
No power steering
No power brakes
No air conditioning
No fold-down rear seat
No rear defroster
No factory radio! (no factory antenna-hole in the passenger fender. However, there was a C.B. radio antenna-mount installed on the drivers-side quarter-panel, right in front of the wing-tip of the rear spoiler. This is either very noticable, or will leave a detectable 'repair' if the mount was removed.)
This car was freshly painted when it was stolen in '79. Of course, who knows what it looks like today, assuming it may even be still in existence. Maybe parted out, maybe junked.
If anyone by chance happens to stumble across this car, and if I ultimately recover it, I would be happy to give a substantial reward.
My late father bought this car for me brand new, and after all these years it still has a lot of sentimental value to me.
I just know that one day this car is gonna' eventually turn up. I can feel it!
Help me, help me, help me!

I'll keep my eyes peeled.

If I found it, I wouldn't even accept a reward.
