I saw this electric fan in summits catalog and i want to get it but i just noticed the sign that reads "For Racing Only" and i wonder if itll do me any good on the street. It is the Flex-a-Lite twin Scirocco electric fan PN-FLX-365. What makes it for racing anyways?

Pony rider,
The Scirocco fans fit the popular racing radiator also of VW vintage, the Scirocco radiator. Many racers use them because they are light and cheap, easy to install. I personally DON'T like them because many of them have plastic tanks and the inlet and outlets are on the wrong side for most Fords. I would Measure and then measure again before I bought these, they might work for you, I don't know. I bought a nice NEW 14" electric fan off ebay about 2 weeks ago and only paid $45.oo bucks. I is a good looking piece
Take care

The fan motor is not designed for sustained use as in street applications. It is too light and will burn up.
