I am going to install a new gage cluster with new lens in the dash of my 68. Also have a new headlight switch to install. Any special tricks removing it as have it in my head how to do it. Remove five screws, disconnect speed cable, lift up and out to remove cluster and lay on steering colum. Disconnect two electric connectors and wiper connector, but don't know how they disconnect. Do the connectors pull stright back or release some other way? Any help would be appreciated, thanks

To disconnect the connectors is easy. There are two little ones and they come apart by squeezing the two sides on the one end and pulling the two apart. The wiper switch one just pulls off. Hope that helps. good luck Lemme know if that isnt detailed enough for ya. Mike ------------------ 1968 Mustang Coupe 302 Check out pics of my car here: http://www.geocities.com/mustangrestore

Suggest that you disconnect the battery before doing anything.

The wiper button that says WIPER on it has a very small allen screw on the underside of it.

Want to thank you all for your help and suggestions, the installation of the cluster and switch went without a hitch and really made an improvement.
