After removing the windshield from my coupe I see that I have the typical gray sealer along with some kind of sticky yellow colored stuff. I was just wondering what you have found to work well to remove this stuff? Lacquer thinner work on the gray sealer but I noticed it is also removing the factory paint in the channel!------------------ 68 S-code FB GT 4spd(now C6)/3.25 PS PDB 68 J-code(now 289) Cp Sprint"B" C4/3L00-9" PDB PS AC 99 F150 XLT Ext/cab, 4X4, 5.4L, 3L55 95 Exploder XLT with the works! Well I just tried the Goof Off and it also removed the paint. It removes then stuff a little easier but it also removes the paint but not as fast. Its supposed to be ok on oil-based paints, wouldn?t the enamel fall under this category since it?s not latex?

It has at least two paint jobs on it. The one is peeling off. In the window channel you can now see some of the primer and it looks like the factory stuff! Its rust free in the window channels but I don?t think the car was totally disassembled for the 2nd paint.

A chisel! Brandon, please stick to asking questions, not answering them, ok buddy? At least until you get a few years of experience anyway. 68, the yellow stuff is yellow weatherstip adhesive, which is pretty tough stuff, but 3M Adhesive Cleaner #8984 should remove it.

It has two paint jobs with both being the normal stock type enamel. Maybe I?m just rubbing it to hard?

Or more likely, the two different coats aren't bonded together very well. ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 - '72 Mustang Sprint - '94 F-150
