Hey,I just was wondering if anybody had used the comp 270H cam with a performer intake and 600 vac.sec. holley. This is on a c4 auto with stock gears currently. I might want to upgrade the gears first to 355 or 373. Car will have ported stock heads with headers. Would I be better off with something milder for 50% street, 50% highway use? Any input would be helpfull. Thanks.

Perfect! Just be sure to use the OEM or aftermarket 4 hole one inch spacer. I'd go with the Performer RPM intake, more power between 1500-6500 if you decide to go with the 3.55-3.73 gears. Also, this is about the RPM range that the 270H uses, correct?[This message has been edited by ice'68 (edited 09-23-2002).]

Comp cams lists the power band for that cam as 1800-5800 which sounds good to me. Right now with my current setup I doubt I get over 4000 rpms on the highway. I'm not sure what RPM the C4 shifts at (probably 3000 RPM or so). I was going to get a RPM or Stealth intake but, at $400(canadian) plus for those or $227 for the performer. I just figured I probably would not wind it up that high anyway(past 5500).

Is the spacer worth it? What about on an Offy 360 deg intake?
