I want to go with ceramic coated headers on this next engine, and have pretty much decided to just cough up the big dough for some hooker super comps. Is it cheaper to buy them uncoated and have somebody coated them, or buy them already coated. Is summit's price the best? Thanks.

Sam, I'll probably catch all kinds of hell for this, but, for a primary street car, Hooker Super Comps are overkill to the billfold or credit card. The Hooker Comps are sufficient, cheaper, made almost identical to Super Comps, made from heavier gauge steel, and will last longer when exposed to the elements. I put the Ceramic coated Comps on Becky's convert, fit and finish is excellent. I've has three sets of Hedman ceramics on my car, ceramic coating isn't as good, but Hedman makes good on their warrantee, if they rust send them back. This is my opinion Mike
