A guy at the Ford place told me that: to brighten the dash gauges., instead of the 163's., (bulbs) install 194's....have any of you heard/replaced any bulbs..thanks..db

Interesting... are the 194's halogen? If so, those little suckers get HOT...

If they are halogen, you could (potentially) run the risk of melting the lens, or igniting something else back in there

I just went over to autozone...the 194 is not the same style (brass-nipple) as 164..the 194 is not halogn; but glass/wire-contact type.....sorry for all the excitement...
