A friend of mine is restoring a '68 fastback and wants to change the interior over to a deluxe. He keeps getting conflicting stories as to whether the arm rests are diferent between a standard and deluxe interior.
Can anyone give us some insight??

They are indeed different. The whole door panels are different too.

The door panels are different. The doors also have a pull strap with pot metal ends with a wood grain veneer in them. They can be a a bit hard to get-good ones. The standard armrest WILL work with the deluxe int. but it is better to get the deluxe ones-available in repo for about $100 pr. The 68 deluxe interior is sharp.

Thanks guys!!! That's kind of what I thought, but not knowing a darn thing about '68s I didn't want to lead him in the wrong direction.
