Hi all,I have a '68 FB that originally came with AC. THe car still has all the vents and controls inside, and the fan does blow, but everything under th hood is gone. Does anyone know what collection of parts I would need to make the system complete again? I would like to go with the newer style compressor, as the car is somewhat resto-modded. Thanks in advance, ------------------ Red 1968 Fastback, 289, Holley 650, Performer 289, Speed Pro cam, 1.7 RR's, C4 shift kit, 8" posi rear, Magnum 500's, GT stripe.

The 1968 Osborn Electrical Assembly Manual has complete engineering drawings of the AC systems on 68's. It shows everything including all the parts on the engine, vacum hose routings, etc. To use the Sanden rotary compressor, you need to get an adapter mount that bolts on to the original comp. mount plus the compressor and posibly new hoses. Classic Air in Tampa is the best source for AC parts and technical assistasnce. Their specialty is vintage AC.
