I found a cooler on a El Rancho with a 351C(I think) and want to put it in the 69 Mustang. It bolts to the top of the conpressor, but seems like it would rub the PS pulley at that location. Is there a better place or a spacer I could use? Also, what line do you attach it to? From steering box to pump or pump to box? Thanks. ------------------ Dustin C 56 F-100 Mech. for wifes 69 Mustang coupe 65 Plymouth Barracuda 70 Dodge Swinger

You'll need to use a little creativity to mount it. It goes on the low pressure, return side. ------------------ All Fords since 1977!

I mounted mine in the return line between the control valve & the pump. Installed the rad on the frame rail in front of the main rad right behind the grid. My PS has never given me any trouble since whatever the driving situation. Just my 2 Euros !

The 69&70 428 CJ Mustangs came originally with a PS cooler that attatched to the drivers side frame rail, between the PS pump pulley, & the rad.The cooler stood upright. Maybe you could modify your later cooler to fit like those cars.------------------ 78 Fairmont 428 4 speed 10.20@130mph 80 Fairmont 302 5 speed 12.8@105mph 85 Mustang NHRA Stocker under construction, 302 5 speed
