Bet you thought this was gonna be a flame didn't you? Not so!Many thanks to NPD for a great catalog. I placed my first order with them a week ago. I received the parts and everything was exceptional!!! One part that stood out for me was the vent window w/s for my car. I had previously ordered them from another manufacturer which claimed they were from the original molds. Not so! After my being told I must not know what I am doing, I quickly returned the product for credit and kindly told them I will no longer order from them. It's a shame too because their prices on several items were very reasonable. Oh well, their loss NPD's gain! I spoke with a Customer Service person at the NC office of NPD and he was very helpful. He gave me the contact information to Scott Drake so I could discuss my concerns with ordering the vent window w/s again, only to run into the same problem. Well, since Scott molds his own, I had to give'em a shot. They fit beautifully! A big HOORAY for NPD and Scott Drake! ------------------ Jeremy '68 Coupe M&M Member #685 MCA Member #49134 Help make the world a better place, drive a Ford and race a slot car!

I used a lot of Scott Drake stuff when I replaced all the emblems, weatherstripping and chrome trim on my 68.Most of it was good except the front hood moulding which was about a half an inch too short on each side.Ended up using an original Ford which fit beautifully.[This message has been edited by mustangboy (edited 08-28-2002).]

It seems that all manufacturers have a problem with this part. I have ordered from 3 different companies and not one fit like it should. If I could just find a OEM for $15.

If your talking to me I didn't buy my stuff from NPD I bought it from a guy here in Canada who sells mustang parts new and used.I can't really remember how much all the weatherstripping cost because I didn't buy it all at once and it was a couple of years ago now but I think it was under $200 Canadian. This included the windshield and back glass rubbers.

Nothing to do with any specific parts dealer but: Besides the 68 hood moulding, there are rocker panel mouldings that are too short compared to the originals and wheel lip mouldings that didn't fit well, rear valances for 65 through 68 models that are a bit short leaving a wider gap at the 1/4 panel, 68 repo fenders that do not fit well at the cowl, The local guy here sells rubber w/stripping made or marketed by Midland, in Al. and they are good. The repops brand seems to be good, also.
