My front driver's fender is rubbing the tire. I just got back from the frame shop and the guy told me that I need a new strut rod that runs from the front of the frame to the lower control arm. NPD doesn't carry them. Where do you guys get your strut rods? As always, thanks

The NPD guy said that it is the "bolt kit" not the strut rod itself. If you have another number, I'll try again...

What is the year of your car? I have extras that will fit 68-73.

Have you tried just a regular parts store, like NAPA or O"Reilly's? I have been suprised at what is till available for these older cars at a regular parts store. Plus you don't have to pay the premium price that you sometimes do from a Mustang speciality catalog.

Ever since I found I had a bent strut rod, I've been collecting these off junk cars. Even cars that look like they've been stripped of everything usually still have the struts. And make sure to remove the connecting bolts correctly so you don't damage the splines. (I didn't know about that link above, but it looks like I've saved myself a few pennies.)

I have a 68 mustang convertible. I need the driver's side. The problem with mine is the threads. I need one with great threads so adjust the wheel back so that it does rub on the fender.

How much? How much would shipping be to

29784 Ten Mile Road
Farmington Hills, MI 48336

Thanks,
Ralph

Are you asking me, Ralph? Sorry fella, none for sale I plan on living with my car for the next 40 years, so I'm hanging on to my strut rod collection.

I have one that I removed from my car I bought 69 lower control arms and the strut that was on the right was off of an earlier stang so I had to buy a new one. anyways the one I removed is straight looks like it would be interchangable (right or left) but I dont know that for sure the 69 struts are curved at the end if the one I removed is what you need I will surely part with it probably for the cost of the shipping and it is good other than surface rust.

apparently there is a difference between the right and left according to an email I received from a NPD rep. I am not sure how to tell the difference. I'll get under it to see.
