necessary evil ? When I bought my car, it came with some new parts, including new carpet and that black/tar-like underlay sound deadener. Is it necessary to also buy the padding that goes between the two ? Will the carpet fit badly if I don't ? thanks.

The carpeting I installed in my car (ACC) came with the padding already attached to it. The car would definately be noisier without it !!!
