Are these the hard-to-find 67/8 horns for AC cars? Aren't those notches the key here? Thanks! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1852795778

I've got one but it's not readily at hand. The driver side horn does not look like the AC one.

I?m going to try and send you some pictures of the horns on my coupe. I agree with mellow about the drivers? side not being right. My car has factory air but I would imagine that the dealer didn?t swap horns when they installed air.I?m also going to try and send you a picture of that air valve rod and piston from a 4300.

concur as above, those horns look just like the ones on my stock, non-ac car. I never even heard of special a/c horns. What pic do you need of the 4300? I have one sitting in a drawer in the spare bedroom I could take and post tomorrow.

The factory air cars in 67-68 did have different horns than the non AC cars.[This message has been edited by 68 S-code GT (edited 08-22-2002).]

The difference is in the mounting. The horn mounts over the top driver side corner of the condenser. My horns are packed away in an inconvenient to get at area. I bought one at a show for $25 which was a good price.

OK...Got the horn here. There are THREE prongs to anchor the horn. The center one is 5/8" and the ones on each side of that one are 3/16" The design is such that it anchors to the condensor. The regular nut hole is beneath the larger prong. Do not have a camera to put it on line. The one on EBAy iss the regular one and $60 is a bit high IMNSHO. Whatever the traffic will bear, I guess.

You know, I took some horns off a 67 factory ac parts car a few years ago, blasted and painted them, might even still have them, not sure, might have already sold them. Just another reason to go out in the shed and look around.
