Saw this post at another site, and am very intrigued by it. If they are of good quality fit and match, it will definitely help out those of you who are considering the fold-down conversion but are scared of the price of original trap doors.

Shoot, the way trap doors are selling on ebay, I'm thinking about selling my original, buying one of these repo's, and using the spare cash for something else. My car's not an original folddown car anyhow.

Disclaimer: I am not promoting that you buy this product from this guy in the link above, I just wanted to point out some cool new parts I've not seen available before.

Interesting. One comment though ... if speakers are what you actually want, original trapdoors with cut-outs don't seem to be in short supply. Those trap doors just cry out for speakers, which is why everybody chopped them.
Sig, I'll swap you two trap doors with speaker holes for one without

Saw that also on V-M. How MUCH are they. The one with the provision for speakers was UGLEEE! The other looked good. Actually, Simon's right. Speakers are a natural for them. I bought and sold a 66 FB that had perfect oval openings. The interior was fact blue so I sprayed the new speaker grilles etc to match and it sold fast. Unless you're going concours, who cares. And if your Tdoor is messed up the speakers will detract from it. IMNSHO.

well, speakers aside, you can have a stock looking trap door for $150 vice paying 300-400 for an original on ebay or elsewhere. Deals are still to be had, like the one I got, but those a few and far between.
