Do the bullet shaped mirrors fit the same mounting holes as the stock square mirrors?

I'm not sure, sorry. Where did you find the bullet mirrors? I've been looking but can't find any.

we had a set of "racing mirrors" bullet & chrome style they were much shorter (base lenght) that the 68 std. mirrors

I was thinking of the 65/66 Shelby bullet mirrors.
