I know it's been asked before but I was wondering if anyone knows why some intakes have a rear water crossover and some don't. Is there an advantage to having or not having a rear crossover? .

I've only seen it on higher performance intake manifolds, the performer rpm has it, the performer doesn't. As far as I can tell it's for extra cooling, if you don't have an overheating problem I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks Dave, but not quite the answer I was looking for.

Anyone else have an idea?
